"Gianfranco Dragons - writes in the preface of the catalog-Stefano De Rosa is a painter, inventor of spatial forms for tapestries, designer and prolific writer with rooted teaching vocations, poet, psychotherapist. "

In fact, the artist, in his time, seems to have absorbed several lives. It 'was a lecturer, a friend of writers, a witness to events, sensitive to politics in its most noble meaning, away from the pettiness and personal ambitions and has, on the contrary, a vision animated by a sincere purpose to contribute to the collective good with the momentum moral was that of the Enlightenment and the shareholders. He traveled often from the beaten track and contemporary art. Rather than look at art as a lively journey of performing, has investigated the way in which a 'work is read, interpreted and shared by the public. He also resumed the relationship with the traditions from which he drew encouragement and teachings.

The show, the puppets are placed in a sort of dialogue with the genre of painting portraits probably where the inspiration for Dragon finds its greatest expression. In his portraits, especially those of women, the artist rode in a mysterious universe, full of charm and arouses memories.

"His art, in all its manifestations, of lives slipping and allusions, nostalgia - always says De Rosa - It looks like a living organism, in which time stops and resumes its course, without interruption .

The tribute that the town of Fiesole's tribute comes more appropriate than ever. His works lend themselves easily to comparison with antiquity, but not escape observation that leverages their formal balance or some technical details that lead to the worlds of high and fine crafts.
