E 'varied, sophisticated and very attractive Gianfranco Dragons of the world: paintings, sculpture, textiles, puppets and more drawing "Faces of Creativity", in the impressive retrospective that the municipality of Fiesole, the Feast of Tuscany , dedicated to the great artist and that opens Sunday, November 29, in Room Antiquarium Costantini, in Portigiani, and the Archaeological Museum, at 17, the Mayor and Aldermen Maria Luisa Moretti and Paul Becattini.
"Gianfranco Dragons - writes in the preface of the catalog-Stefano De Rosa is a painter, inventor of spatial forms for tapestries, designer and prolific writer with rooted teaching vocations, poet, psychotherapist. "
In fact, the artist, in his time, seems to have absorbed several lives. It 'was a lecturer, a friend of writers, a witness to events, sensitive to politics in its most noble meaning, away from the pettiness and personal ambitions and has, on the contrary, a vision animated by a sincere purpose to contribute to the collective good with the momentum moral was that of the Enlightenment and the shareholders. He traveled often from the beaten track and contemporary art. Gianfranco Dragons was born July 1, 1924 in Bologna, where he lived until the early childhood years, later he made his studies at elementary and high school in Milan. Having been in the militant Action Party took refuge in Switzerland in September 1943. He completed his university studies Garin in Florence, graduating with a thesis on Leon Battista Alberti published partly in the journal "Studi Urbino" Carlo Bo, and the other part of the journal Contemporary Literature "by Francesco Flora, and will soon be reprinted in full by the Editions of the Harvest.

In the seventies, together with the work of psychoanalysis, focusing primarily on dreams, he dedicates much of his art in all its forms: writing, painting, sculpture and musical theater.
now lives in Fiesole for six years, following its various artistic passions, cultivates his friends, and among other things, he devoted himself to writing his autobiography, not forgetting the ever popular poetry. In fact it is a few months ago for the book of poems "The owl and other familiar things" editions of the Salt Bridge in Rovigo that will be presented Dec. 5 at Fiesole, always on the Feast of Tuscany.
